CHURCH LEADERSHIP

Darby Community Church is ultimately under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. He alone is the church’s King, Head, and Chief Shepherd. The church submits to Him by operating according to His revealed Word. It is in this Word that we find His prescribed leadership structure for the local church, which we understand to be ruled by elders, administered by deacons, and with the participation and agreement of its members.

In this current season of church life, Darby has one elder and five deacons. We are actively seeking other qualified men to re-establish a pastoral plurality.

PASTOR

Mark Narankevicius

Mark came to Darby Community Church as the youth minister in 2011. In 2014 he was ordained to the pastoral ministry, in 2018 he became the teaching pastor, and in January 2025 he was asked by the church to serve as the lead pastor.

Mark has been involved in ministry since he was seventeen years old. He served several years as a Volunteer Chaplain at the Pasco Juvenile Detention Center. He received his Masters of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and he has a Christian Apologetics Certificate from Biola University.

Mark also teaches at Darby Christian Academy and serves as the school's Headmaster. He is an Adjust Instructor in Religion with Pasco-Hernando State College, and guest lectures in the CLD program with Spurgeon College. He is also a member of the board at Charlemagne College.

Mark and his wife, Trina, have been married since 2012. Trina is a co-founder of Darby Christian Academy, and serves as both the church and school administrator. Mark and Trina have been blessed with four children... and a fifth on the way! They both enjoy reading, writing, coffee, and long conversations. In another lifetime (i.e. before having kids) they co-wrote, directed, and acted in three plays with A Passion for Jesus Ministries.
