Chris has served as pastor at Darby Community Church since March 2006. He and his wife Samantha have been married since 1995 and have four sons and two daughters, one of whom is at home with the Lord. Chris is a UF Gator alumni with a BS in Building Construction Management.
After several years in the construction industry and teaching in the public schools, Chris was called to ministry. He received his Masters of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and completed Doctoral of Ministry Studies at Gordon Conwell. He was ordained in 2002 at Idlewild Baptist Church. Prior to arriving at Darby, Chris and Samantha planted Grace Harbor Community Church in Providence, Rhode Island. He has also served as a corporate chaplain.
Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and family, working in his yard, and playing the guitar and bass.
Mark came to Darby Community Church as the youth minister in 2011. In 2014 he was ordained to the pastoral ministry, and in 2018 he became the teaching pastor. Mark and his wife, Trina, have been married since 2012. Trina coordinates the children's Sunday School, and is a co-founder of Darby Christian Academy. Mark and Trina have been blessed with four children.
Mark has been involved in ministry since he was seventeen years old, and served several years as a Volunteer Chaplain at the Pasco Juvenile Detention Center. He received his Masters of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Mark also teaches history and literature at Darby Christian Academy, and guest lectures on theology, apologetics, and church history through the CLD program with Spurgeon College.
Mark and Trina both enjoy reading, writing, coffee, and long conversations. They co-wrote, directed, and acted in three plays with A Passion for Jesus Ministries.
Danny and his family came to Darby Community Church in 2022, and he was ordained to the pastoral ministry in 2024. He leads the Contextualized Leadership Development (CLD) courses in partnership with Spurgeon College and Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, as well as the young adult small group.
Danny received his formal ministry training at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and focuses much of his free time in providing theological education to other Christians. This occurs both at the church through the Spurgeon College courses and overseas with Training Leaders International.
Danny is married to Amy, who leads the social media for the church. They have two children: their daughter Eden and son Zion (and their dog, Piper). Danny works in the software industry as a Salesforce Consultant.
Caleb has been leading worship at Darby Community Church since 2015. He is a self-taught musician who has been doing music in churches for nearly his entire life. He has a Certificate in Worship Leadership through the Ministry Training Institute of Stamford University. Caleb regularly plays at local events like Church Street Christmas, and he spent several years leading worship for WIT Ministries. He teaches music/sound classes at Darby Christian Academy, and he is an event DJ with an expertise in music and audio.
Beth has been a member of Darby Community Church since 2009. She and her husband Joe have been married 26 years and have three children. Beth is an alumnus of St. Leo University and has a Bachelors in Psychology and Accounting and is a Florida licensed elementary teacher. In 2021 Beth earned her Masters in Social Work from the University of Central Florida.
After teaching in a public school and homeschooling her three children, Beth co-founded Darby Christian Academy as an educational ministry of Darby Community Church in 2012. The mission of DCA is to resource and support homeschooling families using a community school model based upon Christian values that prioritize faith, family, and education.
Beth enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and serving as a volunteer child advocate with Guardian ad Litem.
