Chris has served as senior pastor of Darby Community Church since March 2006. He and his wife Samantha have been married 23 years and have four sons and two daughters, one of which is at home with the Lord. Chris is a UF Gator alumni with a BS in Building Construction Management.
After several years in the construction industry and teaching in the public schools, Chris was called to ministry. He received his Masters of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and completed Doctoral of Ministry Studies at Gordon Conwell. He was ordained in 2002 at Idlewild Baptist Church. Prior to arriving at DCC, Pastor Chris and Samantha planted Grace Harbor Community Church in Providence, Rhode Island.
Chris is also a chaplain with Corporate Chaplains Of America. He enjoys spending time with his wife and family and occasionally playing the guitar & bass guitar.
Mark came to Darby Community Church as the youth minister in 2011. In 2014 he was ordained to the pastoral ministry, and in 2018 he became the lead teaching pastor. Mark and his wife, Trina, have been married since 2012. They have been blessed with two sons.
Mark has been involved in ministry since he was seventeen years old. He served for several years as a Volunteer Chaplain at the Pasco Juvenile Detention Center. He previously studied at Gateway Seminary, and he is currently pursuing his Masters of Divinity with the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Mark and Trina both enjoy reading, writing, drinking coffee, and long conversations. They co-wrote, directed, and acted in three plays with A Passion for Jesus Ministries. Mark also blogs and runs in his spare time.
Beth has been a member of Darby Community Church since 2009. She and her husband Joe have been married 24 years and have three children. Beth is an alumnus of St. Leo University and has a Bachelors in Psychology and Accounting and is a Florida licensed elementary teacher. Beth is currently seeking her Masters in Social Work from University of Central Florida.
After teaching in a public school and homeschooling her three children, Beth co-founded Darby Christian Academy (DCA) as an educational ministry of Darby Community Church in 2012. The mission of DCA is to resource and support homeschooling families using a community school model based upon Christian values that prioritize faith, family, and education.
Beth enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and serving as a volunteer child advocate with Guardian ad Litem.
Caleb and Shanna are a brother-sister team. Caleb is currently studying Worship Leadership through the Ministry Training Institute of Stamford University. Shanna is a piano teacher and is pursuing a Bachelor's of Music Degree in Piano Performance at the University of Tampa. They have been doing music in churches for nearly their entire lives. They also help lead worship for WIT Ministries.
